- עֲקוּבָּהm. ch. (v. עֵקֶב) haunch, posteriors. Snh.96a אשתני אפיה כע׳ דכלבא Ar. s. v. (Ar. s. v. בן יכבד אב: כעוּקְבָּא; ed. והוה בי דכלבא; Yalk. Kings 244 והוה כי כלב) his face changed so as to look like the posteriors of a dog.
